These images show the earliest work on the custom harvester handle.
Image 1 shows the progression of shapes from the original aluminum handle to this angular shape, and intermediate steps to the final shape on the right. This particular shape was not to be the final shape, but the schedule required that some field testing be done while a harvest was going on. I had a mold made of the touch model and altered it by hand to mount on an old style stalk with no ball joint (the handle can only spin around the stalk axis), and to provide some of the desired switches (with some functionality missing). The customer learned enough to proceed with more iterations. |
